This Privacy Policy for Loud ("we", "us", or "our") describes how and why we might access, collect, store, use, and/or share your personal information when you use our services, including when you download and use our mobile application (Loud).
Questions or concerns? Contact us at hello@heyloud.app
Loud is designed to be privacy-first. We do not require an account, and we do not collect personal information about you by default.
Information you provide voluntarily. If you contact us for support, we will receive your email address and the contents of your message.
Payment data. All payment data is handled and stored by Apple. You may find their privacy notice at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/en-ww/.
Application data. All data you enter in Loud (gigs, wishlist items, photos, voice notes, set lists, ticket prices, settings, and any other gig-related information) is stored locally on your device only and is not transmitted to our servers. If you use the photo features, we will request access to your mobile device's photo library so you can attach photos to your gigs. If you use voice notes (a Loud+ feature), we will request access to your microphone so you can record audio attached to a gig.
Location. Loud only accesses your location when you explicitly request it (for example, when tapping "use current location" while adding a venue). We do not track your location in the background. Location data is only used to look up the venue address and is not transmitted to our servers.
Calendar. If you enable calendar sync (an optional feature), Loud will request access to your device's calendar so it can write upcoming gigs to your calendar. Calendar data is read and written on your device only and is not transmitted to our servers.
Loud+ subscribers can attach Apple Music albums to their gigs. To do this, the app sends search queries (artist name, album name) to a backend service we operate at loud-backend.vercel.app, which then queries the Apple Music catalog API on your behalf.
What is sent. The artist name or album name you are searching for, plus a region code (used to return results from the correct Apple Music storefront).
What is not sent. No personal information, no device identifiers, no location data, no gig data, no photos, no voice notes, no account information. Because Loud has no user accounts, the search request cannot be tied back to you.
Apple. Apple processes the search query to return matching albums. Apple's privacy policy is available at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/en-ww/.
Retention. We do not log, store, or retain Apple Music search requests on our backend.
Loud uses RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and one-time purchases (Loud+ Monthly, Loud+ Annual, and Loud+ Lifetime). RevenueCat sits on top of Apple's StoreKit and helps us deliver entitlements correctly across devices.
What RevenueCat receives. An anonymous device identifier (used to associate purchases with the correct device), Apple's purchase receipt (validated for entitlement), and basic transaction metadata (product purchased, price, currency, date).
What RevenueCat does not receive. Your name, email address, payment card details, location, or any of your gig data. Apple handles all payment data directly; we never see card numbers.
RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/.
To fix bugs and improve app stability, Loud uses Sentry to send us anonymous crash reports when the app crashes. This is configured in a privacy-safe way:
Sentry's privacy policy is available at https://sentry.io/privacy/.
We process information to provide and improve our services, communicate with you for support purposes, fix bugs via anonymous crash reports, deliver in-app purchases via RevenueCat, return Apple Music search results when you use that feature, and to comply with the law. All gig data you enter in Loud is stored locally on your device and is not collected or accessed by us.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following situations:
We do not use cookies or tracking technologies in the Loud mobile application.
All data you enter in Loud is stored locally on your device. We do not store your personal data on our servers. Apple Music search requests are not retained. Sentry crash diagnostics are retained by Sentry for 90 days in line with Sentry's default retention policy. RevenueCat retains purchase metadata in accordance with their privacy policy. If you contact us by email, we will retain that correspondence for as long as necessary to resolve your query.
We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal information. However, no electronic transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using Loud, you represent that you are at least 18 years old. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under 18, please contact us at hello@heyloud.app.
Depending on where you are located, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete your data. To exercise these rights, please contact us at hello@heyloud.app.
If you are located in the EEA or UK and believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
If you have questions or comments about this policy, you may email us at hello@heyloud.app or contact us by post at:
Since all your gig data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time using the "Delete all data" option in Settings, or by uninstalling the app. For any other data requests, please contact us at hello@heyloud.app.
